OUR JOURNEY

History of KEITECH

Rooted in community empowerment and social responsibility in Leyte.

KEITECH Educational Foundation, Inc. is a post-secondary technical-vocational training institution established in 2009 and located in Barangays Rizal and Hiluctugan, Kananga, Leyte. It was founded through a tripartite partnership among Energy Development Corporation, the Local Government Unit of Kananga, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Regional Office VIII.

KEITECH was established as part of EDC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives under its HELEN Project, with the goal of empowering communities through education, skills development, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. The institution was created in response to the socio-economic challenges faced by many communities in Leyte, including limited access to post-secondary education, dependence on subsistence farming, vulnerability to natural calamities, and the growing demand for skilled workers both locally and abroad.

Recognizing the importance of education as a pathway to progress, KEITECH was designed to equip young people with industry-relevant technical skills, values formation, discipline, and professionalism to help them become productive members of society. Through accessible and quality technical-vocational education, the institution continues to provide opportunities for individuals to improve their employability and uplift the economic condition of their families.

Today, KEITECH occupies an almost 4-hectare campus with 21 buildings, modern training facilities, industry-standard equipment, and highly qualified trainers and staff. It is recognized as a respected TESDA training institution offering registered technical-vocational programs aligned with industry needs and employment opportunities.

Guided by its vision of developing globally competitive and values-driven graduates, KEITECH continues to inspire and empower the youth to become skilled professionals, responsible citizens, and future nation builders.

BRAND IDENTITY

Our Logo

The eight sun’s rays are a highly visual representation of the technical and vocational strength of Keitech, fusing the sun symbol in the Philippine flag and the gear of the machine. The beveled center imbues metallic and industrial attributes to its otherwise organic element. The golden yellow color denotes geothermal power which inspires the founders Energy Development Corporation and the Municipality of Kananga to utilize the benefit of this powerful resource to contribute to the socio-economic development efforts through the Keitech initiative. The two white arcs in the center symbolize limitless potential and mobility of the Filipino talent in the global labor markets. The whole image conveys the power of Keitech to set things in motion and affect a far-reaching positive impact.
